“Where everyone is a maker!”

We believe in creating a space for every child to grow through making! Our camps and classes encourage students to explore different ways of making through painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, and sculpture. Making is a great way to explore ideas, and build self-esteem and confidence, and our goal is to create a safe space to do just that!

Owner, Gabrielle, received her BFA from Mount Allison University, as a multi-disciplined artist in photography, drawing, and painting. Her passion for cultivating community driven, and local art has propelled The Make Station into what it is today. As a child she felt there was very little opportunity to create freely and explore mediums and methods outside of the traditional art making way. Therefore making it a mission of hers to create a space where everyone can feel proud and empowers through their art making process.

We also have our amazing Clay Master Beatrice, who is the creator of all our Clay Character Kits. Beatrice is an unbelievable hardworking, creative, and kind person and all of those traits show through the popularity and amazingness of the characters! Every day she works on creating and improving the clay characters for you all. Not only is she an amazing clay master, but she is also an amazing teacher and her calm, warm and kind demeanour make it easy for students to feel comfortable!
